Innovation Council Action, led by former White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich and endorsed by AI advisor David Sacks, plans to spend $100 million on the 2026 midterms.
"Policymakers who stand with the president receive support while holding accountable the ones who don't," said Budowich.
The group uses a congressional scorecard to reward AI deregulation supporters and punish critics. Combined AI industry election spending now exceeds $300 million, with Leading the Future at $50 million and Meta's PAC at $65 million.
The 2026 midterms will reveal whether money can successfully dictate AI policy for a generation.
“AI policy is too important to be left to people who don't understand the technology.”
