That is the promise of a workflow that surfaced around July 13, 2026, pairing OpenAI's GPT Image 2 with Runway's Aleph 2.0 video model. The two tools do different jobs. GPT Image 2 makes a precise, photorealistic edit to one reference frame — swap the outfit, relight the scene, replace a product — with the kind of instruction-following and text fidelity that put it at the top of Arena.ai's image-editing leaderboard. Aleph 2.0 then propagates that change across the entire clip, holding the untouched elements in place. The image model does the design decision once; the video model does the temporal grunt work.
