DXC and Anthropic Partner to Bring Claude Into Banks, Airlines and Hospitals

One of the world's largest IT services companies is about to put Anthropic's Claude inside the software that keeps banks settling trades, airlines boarding flights and insurers paying claims. On June 11, 2026, DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) and Anthropic announced a multi-year global alliance to embed Claude directly into the mission-critical enterprise systems DXC has operated for decades on behalf of the world's largest regulated enterprises and governments.

The deal makes DXC one of a small handful of Global Premier partners in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, and it gives Anthropic a distribution channel that would take years to build alone: a 115,000-person workforce spread across 70 countries, already wired into the back-office plumbing of Fortune 500 banks, carriers, manufacturers and public-sector agencies. For Anthropic, the prize is reach into precisely the environments where AI adoption has been slowest and the compliance bar highest.

What the Integration Covers

The centerpiece of the alliance is people, not just software. DXC will train tens of thousands of "forward-deployed engineers" (FDEs) — staff embedded directly inside customer organizations — recruited from its existing engineering teams and certified through Anthropic Academy in a 90-day program. DXC layered its own curriculum on top, with training specific to the no-fail, audit-heavy systems its clients run. The model mirrors what Anthropic calls DXC's "Customer Zero" approach: the company proved Claude inside its own operations, under production-grade security and compliance requirements, before offering it to clients.

That internal proof point is the deal's strongest evidence. Claude was the primary tool DXC used to build DXC OASIS, its AI-native orchestration platform for managed services, launched in April 2026. DXC estimates Claude accelerated OASIS software delivery roughly 10x, with more than 95% of the code generated by Claude before human review. Claude is now the default foundation model powering OASIS's agentic workflows, and the platform is already in production across more than 50 customers, with a planned global rollout.

The alliance starts in four areas where DXC already runs large operations and where Claude can do useful work immediately:

- Insurance: Claude-powered agentic solutions to modernize core insurance systems around each customer's operating model. - Modernization as a Service (MaaS): Using Claude to analyze, refactor and modernize legacy codebases faster and more accurately than traditional approaches. - Cybersecurity: An always-on security engineer subagent built on Claude Security, deployed across DXC's security operations centers (SOCs). - Application Services: OASIS agents that embed Claude into the application maintenance and management environments DXC operates for clients.

"DXC helps the world's largest banks, airlines, insurers, and government agencies put new technology to work," said Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Anthropic. "They proved Claude inside their own operations first, under the same security and compliance requirements their customers face. Now we're bringing Claude inside those environments together, industry by industry, with engineers who have already done it themselves."

Why Regulated Industries Are the Hard Part

Banks, airlines, hospitals and insurers are the highest-value targets for enterprise AI and the most resistant to it. These are the systems that handle transactions, claims and operations under strict requirements for uptime, audit trails, data residency and regulatory compliance. A chatbot that occasionally hallucinates is one thing; an AI agent acting inside a core banking ledger or a patient claims pipeline is another entirely. That gap — between impressive demos and deployable, governable systems — is exactly what has kept generative AI out of the mission-critical tier so far.

DXC's pitch is that it already lives in those constraints. "For more than 50 years, DXC and the companies it was built from run the systems that run the world," said Raul Fernandez, President and CEO of DXC Technology. "We know what it takes to deliver in these environments. This alliance with Anthropic combines trust and experience with the most advanced AI technology available, and gives our customers something they cannot get anywhere else... This is a defining moment for DXC and for the industry."

The alliance is structured around DXC Xponential, the company's AI blueprint connecting technology with people and processes, now reinforced with certified Claude expertise and direct access to Anthropic's resources.

The strategic read for Anthropic is just as important as the engineering one. Frontier labs increasingly win or lose enterprise share not on raw model benchmarks but on distribution and trust. By plugging into systems integrators that already hold the customer relationships, security clearances and domain knowledge, Anthropic converts a model into a deployable product without building a services arm of its own. The DXC deal did not arrive in isolation: Anthropic announced a parallel partnership with Tata Consultancy Services within roughly 24 hours, and both sit inside the broader Claude Partner Network. The message is clear — Anthropic is racing to lock up the world's largest SI channels before rivals do.

What to Watch

Three things will determine whether this is a landmark or a press release. First, named customer deployments: the 50-plus OASIS customers are a start, but the real signal is whether Claude lands inside a top-tier bank's or airline's core systems with disclosed, measurable outcomes. Second, the FDE ramp — training "tens of thousands" of certified engineers in 90-day cycles is an aggressive operational bet, and the quality of that workforce will make or break delivery. Third, governance: regulators in financial services and healthcare will scrutinize how agentic AI is audited, explained and contained inside systems where errors carry real consequences.

If DXC and Anthropic can show Claude operating reliably inside the most demanding environments in the economy, the partnership could reset expectations for where enterprise AI belongs. If not, it will be remembered as one more alliance announced faster than it could be delivered. Either way, the contest for the regulated enterprise has officially begun.

"We know what it takes to deliver in these environments. This alliance with Anthropic combines trust and experience with the most advanced AI technology available, and gives our customers something they cannot get anywhere else."
